RV destroyed in Payne Springs fire

An RV was destroyed by a fire in Payne Springs Tuesday morning.

PAYNE SPRINGS, Texas (KLTV) - An RV was destroyed by a fire in Payne Springs Tuesday morning.

According to a Facebook post by Payne Springs Fire Rescue, volunteers with the department responded to a vehicle fire call around 10:20 a.m. They responded with engine 1 with four firefighters, they said.

Upon arrival, they found an RV with heavy flames in the front portion. According to the post, the fire was quickly brought under control.

The resident of the RV was checked by EMS for smoke inhalation, the post said, but declined transport.

The Red Cross also responded to the scene to assist the occupant.
