(Gray News) - A father and his 16-year-old daughter in Utah were killed in a crash after a bulldozer fell on top of their vehicle.

The crash happened around 12:49 p.m. as “a tow truck carrying a mini bulldozer traveling eastbound” collided with an SUV that 57-year-old Richard David Hendrickson and his family were traveling in, according to Utah Highway Patrol.

The bulldozer fell off the truck and into the SUV fatally injuring Hendrickson and his daughter, Sally, officials said.

Hendrickson’s wife and two of their children were also in the car at the time of the crash and sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Not only was the 57-year-old a father, but he was also the CEO and president of Lifetime Products in Utah, a company that specializes in outdoor furniture and equipment.

The company released a statement following his death:

“It is with profound sadness that we announce the tragic and sudden passing of our CEO and President, Richard David Hendrickson, in a car accident today in Ogden Canyon.”

In addition to his life in business, Richard was a Stake President for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Ogden Utah Pleasant Valley Stake.
