SABINE COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) - Reports are in of extensive damage after severe weather brought down trees and overturned RVs in Sabine County Monday.

According to Sabine County Sheriff Thomas Maddox, an isolated bout of weather caused mayhem at Holly Lake Marina in Milam. Maddox said heavy winds moved and overturned several RVs, even rolling some up onto nearby tree trunks.

Maddox said that the cluster of RVs damaged and moved by the storm were unoccupied, and the surrounding homes with residents inside were untouched. No one was injured at the marina, and the area never lost power according to the sheriff.

Maddox said there have been no reports of injuries across the county, though there have been many trees downed and debris reported. He also said a two-story home just across the lake on Dublin Street was damaged by a large fallen tree, but again said there were no injuries in the incident.

The Sabine County Sheriff’s Office, Emergency Management Coordinator, county judge, and several volunteer fire departments including Shamrock Shores responded to Holly Lake Marina after the storm.

Maddox said the county is operating well after the storms abated; highways have been cleared and traffic is moving as normal, he reported.
