Fallen trees close Nacogdoches County roads as Beryl approaches

NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - Nacogdoches County Judge Greg Sowell made a disaster declaration as residents prepared for the day’s storms.
Judge Greg Sowell made the declaration Monday morning as fallen trees resulted in the closure of several roads including CR 715, 620, 525 and 116. Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office Communications Specialist Tim Monzingo said that no major injuries have been reported in the area, but that they had received reports of significant structure and vehicle damage in Appleby.
Monzingo said that they have received no reports of washed out roads as flooding has not yet become a problem.
