CHICAGO (KLTV) - Former Canton Eagle Colten Brewer is headed back to the injured list after fracturing his non-throwing hand on Saturday.

Brewer punched the dugout wall after his exit from the game on Saturday against the Angels. Brewer pitched two-thirds of an inning, allowing three runs on two hits and walking two.

The punch of the wall resulted in a fractured left hand, and the Cubs placed the reliever on the 60-day injured list.

This is the second time this season that Brewer has seen the injured list. He was placed on the 15-day IL in May with a low back strain. He made his return to the Cubs on June 11.

Brewer has pitched 20 2/3 innings this season, striking out 22 and walking nine with a 5.66 ERA. The righthander had a 3.45 ERA in his first 11 outings, but has a 12.60 ERA in his last five appearances.
