PHOENIX (KTRE) - Former Lufkin Lady Panther Natasha Mack scored eight points as the Phoenix Mercury fell to the Connecticut Sun 83-72 on Monday.

Mack played nearly six minutes in the first quarter. Mack made a cutting layup off an assist by Natasha Cloud for her first bucket of the game. With 20 seconds left in the quarter, Mack made a 15-foot jump shot for her second bucket of the game. Mack also gathered in two defensive rebounds, and at the end of the first quarter the Sun led the Mercury 19-17

In the third quarter, Mack dropped in an 11-foot jump shot for her third basket of the night, and it pulled the Mercury within nine at 52-43. Mack played all 10 minutes in the fourth quarter. Mack would wrangle in another rebound and make a cutting lay up for her eighth point of the night.

Mack finished playing 24 minutes, and had eight points and three rebounds while shooting 4-for-4 from the field.

Phoenix falls to 9-10 on the season, and will be back in action in Arlington on Wednesday to take on the Dallas Wings.
