CHICAGO (KLTV) - Former Mount Pleasant Tiger Michael Kopech throws a scoreless inning as the White Sox fall to the Rockies 5-4 in 14 innings on Sunday.

The right hander entered the game in the ninth inning.

Kopech forced Ezequiel Tovar to fly out to left field for the first out of the inning. Ryan McMahon was called out on strikes, and Elias Diaz struck out swinging for a 1-2-3 inning for the East Texas native.

Kopech threw eight pitches, with seven of them being strikes.

The White Sox fall to 24-62 on the year, and sit in fifth place in the AL Central. Chicago has Monday off before beginning a series in Cleveland on Tuesday.
