CINCINNATI (KLTV) - Former Hallsville Bobcast Justin Slaten tossed a scoreless inning of relief in Boston’s 7-4 win over the Reds on Sunday.

The right hander entered the game in the eighth inning.

Slaten forced Tyler Stephenson to fly out to center field for the first out of the inning. Slaten then got Jonathan India to strike out swinging for the second out. Will Benson came up next and was hit by a pitch. Santiago Espinal grounded out to third for the final out to end the inning.

Slaten threw 17 pitches, with 10 of them being strikes.

The Red Sox are 42-36 on the year and sit in third place in the AL East.
