NEW YORK (KTRE) - Former Central Heights Blue Devil Duke Ellis was picked up on waivers by the New York Mets on Friday, according to Tim Healey of Newsday.

In Double-A ball with the Birmingham Barons earlier this season, Ellis was batting .258 with 34 stolen bases.
