Tyler and Lufkin set to battle for Little League crown

TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - Little League teams from Tyler and Lufkin will decide who wins district 10 and heads to Sectionals.

Rose Capital West Little League, Rose Capital East Little League and Lufkin are competing in the district 10 tournament this week.

In the first game on Saturday, Rose Capital West defeated Rose Capital East 5-0. In game two on Monday, Lufkin defeated Rose Capital West, 12-0, to put Lufkin in the championship game.

The third game will be played on Thursday in Tyler at eight p.m. and it will be a rematch of the first game between both Rose Capital Little League teams. The winner of that game will advance to play Lufkin on Saturday in the championship game in Lufkin. If needed, a fifth game would be on Monday, June 24, in Tyler.

The winner of district 10 will advance to the Section one tournament to be played the week of July 11-17.
