(CNN) - More than 80,000 pounds of ready-to-eat sliced Stockmeyer prosciutto ham is being recalled because it was not inspected properly.

The prosciutto was sold at stores in California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia and Washington state.

So far, no adverse reactions have been reported, but the Department of Agriculture said you should not eat it.

Consumers are advised to either throw it away or return it to the place of purchase.

A full list of lot codes and best-before dates included in the recall can be found on the USDA website.
