Texans reveal 4 new uniforms, secondary logo for bolder ‘H-Town’ vibe

The uniform release features four new uniform designs: home, away, alternative, and color rush.

HOUSTON, Texas (KLTV) - The Houston Texans have released a closet full of new uniform designs, which the team shared multiple images and video of Tuesday so fans can get a closer look at all the new gear. The uniform release features four designs: home, away, alternative, and color rush.

The team’s new look is described as “modern meets tradition” for its home jersey, with red lettering and bulls on the sleeves. The helmet is also steel blue with blue metallic flake paint. It features the traditional bull logo is on its sides, with a new H logo on the back.

This design is “bold for the battle...” featuring bright blood red uniforms with black numbers outlined with contrasting icy white on the team’s alternative uniform. The helmet for this one features the bull logo on the back.

Finally, the “ice so blue” uniform style which introduces the addition of the new “H-Town blue” colorway. The uniforms features blue gloves, blue outlines around red numbers on a black background, and a bold blue H outlined in red on the black helmets. The “H” serves as a secondary logo, the team says, to the bull. This is unprecedented in the NFL, according to the team’s social team.

Even ol’ Sam Houston got into the spirit of the new designs. Rusty Surette with our sister station KBTX shared this pic of the iconic statue at the Sam Houston Visitor Center showing off the new Color Rush, H-Town-inspired jersey. According to the team’s website, the jersey weighs 200 pounds and will be in place through May 7.

“Today, for the first time since 2000, we are so proud to reveal our new uniforms. They are even more special because they are inspired by and for our fans,” Houston Texans Chair and CEO Cal McNair said. “Our fans asked us to be more H-Town and we delivered. They were with us every step of the way and there’s truly something for everyone over the four uniforms.”
