(Gray News) - Dairy Queen says it’s already getting ready for summer.

The ice cream chain announced it is expanding its Summer Blizzard Menu starting April 1.

“Summer doesn’t officially start without a Blizzard Treat,” the company shared this week. “The new Summer Blizzard Treat Menu will feature returning flavors and all-new summer flavors.”

Dairy Queen’s new summer Blizzards include the Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Party Blizzard, the Picnic Peach Cobbler Blizzard and the Ultimate Cookie Blizzard.

The peanut butter option features chocolate chip cookie dough with a peanut butter topping and rainbow confetti crunch blended with soft serve.

The peach cobbler Blizzard combines real peaches and cobbler pieces blended with soft serve.

And the Ultimate Cookie Blizzard will have Oreos, Chips Ahoy and Nutter Butter all mixed in with soft serve.

According to Dairy Queen, it is also bringing back three fan-favorite flavors that include the Frosted Animal Cookie Blizzard, Brownie Batter Blizzard and the Cotton Candy Blizzard.

“Thanks to our fans, we are opening the doors for the very first time to bring back the Blizzard Treats they never forgot for a limited time,” said Maria Hokanson, executive vice president, of marketing at Dairy Queen.

To sweeten the summer menu, DQ said it is offering fans a buy-one-get-one deal that will be available in its DQ Mobile App for a limited time at participating locations.

From April 1 through April 14, fans can buy one of any size Blizzard Treat and get one of equal or lesser value for free.

“This summer, we invite all fans to celebrate the return of their all-time favorite flavors while creating new memories with family and friends,” Hokanson said.
