Recount set in Smith County Pct. 1 commissioner race separated by 101 votes
TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - The Republican primary for Smith County Pct. 1 commissioner is headed to a recount.
Election results show Christina Drewry beat incumbent Pam Frederick with 50.55 percent of the total vote, a difference of 101 votes. The recount is petitioned on the grounds that the difference between the two candidates is less than 10 percent, according to Smith County GOP Chair David Stein.

The recount is set to begin Tuesday, March 26, at 9 a.m. inside the Cotton Belt Building in Tyler.
Those allowed to be present at the recount include the recount chair and recount members, candidates and up to two watchers per recount team, the custodian of the voted ballots, the recount supervisor, and state or federal Inspectors. No recording devices will be allowed in the room or within 30 feet of the entrance.
