(Gray News) - If you’re a fan of IHOP and Applebee’s, you could soon get your pancake stack with boneless wings on the side.

That’s because Dine Brands Global, the parent company of both restaurants, is thinking about opening Applebee’s and IHOP combination restaurants in the U.S.

In a February earnings call, the company said it has closed dozens of Applebee’s locations and opened several new IHOPs.

The company said the revenue from the joint restaurants could double that of a standalone restaurant and cost less to build.

If the company decides to bring the duel-branded restaurants to the U.S., it won’t be a new concept.

It already operates multiple IHOP - Applebee’s combination restaurants in Mexico. A dual-branded location also opened in the United Arab Emirates in January, and the company has plans to open at least four more in the Middle East in partnership with its franchisees.
