HUNTINGTON, Texas (KTRE) - The Huntington Red Devils will have a new head football coach for the 2024-25 season, the district announced Wednesday evening.
Defensive coordinator Brian Coffman has been promoted to head coach. He’s been on staff at HISD for one year, the district says. Prior to that, he was defensive coordinator at Pasadena High School. He’s been an educator for over 20 years, according to his bio on the school’s website.
The district described Coffman as detail-oriented and passionate about building positive relationships, and they welcomed him to his new role in the district.
Coffman replaces Coach Josh Colvert, who stepped down in January.
