NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio (TMX) - A man was taken into custody after leading police on a high-speed chase on Sunday, Feb. 18.

Police say the chase happened at 5:27 p.m. when a North Olmsted police officer tried to pull over a Chrysler PT Cruiser for a license plate and brake light violation.

The driver, Antoine L. Lindsey, 30, tried to outrun police and continued to drive eastbound, officials said. He lost control of his vehicle eventually, causing it to roll over.

Lindsey was ejected from the car in the crash, sending him flying into the air. When officers checked on his injuries, they also found a child in the back seat, still strapped into a car seat. Police say the 1 year old did not appear injured, but was taken to a nearby hospital as a precaution. Lindsey was also taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
