NFL: Commanders to hire Cowboys DC Dan Quinn as head coach

DALLAS, Texas (KLTV) - According to the NFL, Dan Quinn will be leaving the Cowboys to lead the Commanders.

Quinn, 53, the 2021 assistant coach of the year, is set to return to head coaching after the finalization of a new contract with the Washington Commanders, according to the NFL. Currently working as the defensive coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys, has served under Mike McCarthy for three seasons and seen two top-12 finished in total defense, the NFL said.

Quinn previously served as the head coach for the Falcons, where he lead them to an NFC Championship win.

According to the NFL, Commanders owner Josh Harris has completed the first hiring process for the head coach.
