TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - This dip features ground beef and chorizo, refried beans, and lots of melty cheese...a perfect combination for a hot dip. This is a great one for watching the playoffs in your living room.

Baked nachos dip

Ingredients

1/2 pound each ground beef and chorizo sausage

2 cans (16 ounces each) refried beans

4 ounce can chopped green chilis

3 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend

3/4 cup salsa

Toppings:

guacamole

chopped fresh tomatoes

sliced black olives

chopped fresh or canned jalapenos

sour cream

shredded cheese

tortilla chips

Method:

Heat oven to 400 degrees.

In a skillet, crumble the beef and chorizo, and fry until browned. Drain on paper towels.

Place the browned meat in an even layer on the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish you have sprayed with cooking spray.

Then, distribute the refried beans across the meat in an even layer. (I warm mine in a bowl in the microwave first to make it more easy to spread)

Sprinkle the chopped green chilis across the beans, then top it all with the cheese.

Bake at 400 for 20 minutes.

When it comes out of the oven, let it rest for five minutes and then top to your heart’s content. Enjoy!
