Toilet destroyed in vandalism at public restroom in Columbus

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Columbus Police Department is investigating a restroom vandalism at a local park.

Investigators think someone damaged the public bathroom at Pawnee Park West around 11 p.m. on Saturday.

City officials shared a video of the destruction showing a shattered toilet in one of the stalls.

The city said the bathroom will be closed for repairs, but the tennis restrooms are staying open.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 402-564-3201 or Platte County Area Crimestoppers at 402-563-4000.

Police said information that leads to an arrest could result in a reward.
