Seven Wahoo Bishop Neumann students charged with hazing

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Seven teenage boys have been charged with hazing in Saunders County, court records show.

Charges were filed against three of the teens last week, and four more were charged Monday.

The boys range in age between 15 and 17, and online profiles show that each attended Bishop Neumann High School in Wahoo.

In addition to hazing, which is a misdemeanor, some of the students face more serious charges.

Three are charged with attempted first-degree sexual assault, and one is charged with distributing a sexually explicit depiction of a minor.

On April 23, the Wahoo Police Department received a report of a student being sexually assaulted, according to a search warrant affidavit.

The affidavit says a video of the assault was posted on Snapchat.

Police then learned of other times when students were “sodomized,” according to the affidavit.

Four of the boys have denied the charges in court, and three have yet to enter a plea.
