Public pool in Seward temporarily closes

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Seward Dowding Municipal Pool announced Monday that it will temporarily close due to a mechanical problem.

Officials said on Facebook that part of the circulation pump dislodged and that they are looking for a replacement.

The circulation pump is the main pump that is helps maintain the chemical balance.

Officials said they have not found the right part that matches their pump, but will continue to work with their vendor to find a resolution.

The pool will be closed till at least Thursday.
