One of puppies left in dumpster has died, Beatrice Humane Society says
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A puppy found abandoned in a dumpster died Monday night, the Beatrice Humane Society says.
The dog was one of six rescued by an out-of-state partner of the shelter.
They were found inside a dog food bag. Four other dogs were already dead.
The humane society said police have identified a suspect.

The owner agreed to surrender the puppies’ mother, according to the shelter.
She and the surviving members of her litter will arrive at the Beatrice Humane Society on Friday.
“The cards were stacked against them, but with your help we are evening out the odds and hopeful that we can start stacking the cards for their success,” the shelter said on Facebook.
