LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Fairbury man was killed Saturday in an ATV crash in rural Seward County, the sheriff’s office says.
The crash happened just before 9 p.m. near 413th and Pioneers roads, just south of Beaver Crossing.
Investigators said an ATV was going south when the driver — 46-year-old Corey Smith — went up an embankment.
Smith lost control of the ATV and rolled. He was pinned underneath the ATV, the sheriff’s office said.
Smith was taken to a hospital in Friend before being flown to Bryan West in Lincoln, where he later died.
Investigators think alcohol is a factor in the crash, and an investigation is ongoing.
