Mobile home collapses while being towed on rural southeast Nebraska road

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A mobile home collapsed early Friday on a rural road in southeast Nebraska, the Gage County Sheriff’s Office says.

Around 12:20 a.m., deputies were sent to the crash on a rural road just west of Liberty.

The sheriff’s office said a mobile home was being towed when its wheels “failed.”

The mobile started to skid, causing the suspension to fail.  It was dragged for half a mile before collapsing onto the road.

At the time, the mobile home could not be removed, so the Gage County Highway Department shut down the road.

The sheriff’s office said crews are working to clear the road.
