Missing teen caught driving stolen vehicle on I-80 near York, sheriff’s office says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A missing teen was caught Wednesday in a stolen vehicle on Interstate 80, the York County Sheriff’s Office says.

Around 6:30 p.m., a man reported that his son was missing and might be in a stolen vehicle somewhere along I-80 in York County.

The sheriff’s office said deputies eventually found the teen in the vehicle on I-80, just south of York.

The teen — who also had eight active warrants out for his arrest — was taken into custody.

He was then turned over to District 5 Juvenile Probation, according to the sheriff’s office.
