Lincoln’s Bryan Olesen makes it to semifinals of ‘The Voice’

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln singer advanced to the semifinals of “The Voice” on Tuesday night.

Bryan Olesen is one of nine contestants remaining in the NBC singing competition.

“Thank you to each and every one of you that took the time to vote me into the top 9!!!” he wrote on Instagram. “So incredible!!! I’m so grateful to be on this journey and excited that it gets to continue for me!!”

Olesen has served as a worship pastor at Lincoln Berean Church.

He also had a stint as lead guitarist of Christian rock band Newsboys in the 2000s.

“The Voice” airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 7 p.m.
