Lincoln’s Bryan Olesen advances to the last round of ‘The Voice’

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln man is in the final round of “The Voice.”

Bryan Olesen was on the brink of elimination Tuesday night but saved himself with a clutch performance.

The voters chose Karen Waldrup, Nathan Chester, Josh Sanders and Asher HaVon to advance to the finals of the NBC singing competition.

The remaining five contestants then each performed a song to try to wow the TV audience and win the Instant Save vote.

Olesen sang “Viva La Vida” by Coldplay and won the vote to stay in the competition.

He has served as a worship pastor Lincoln Berean Church.

Olesen was also the lead guitarist of Christian rock band Newsboys in the 2000s.
