Lightning strike starts fire at home east of Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Firefighters put out a blaze early Thursday morning at a home east of Lincoln.

The fire was reported about 1:30 a.m. near 120th Street and Seabiscuit Lane.

Units from Southeast Fire & Rescue, Eagle Fire & Rescue and Bennet Fire & Rescue responded.

A Southeast firefighter at the scene said a lightning strike is thought to have sparked the fire.

He said crews were able to contain the fire.

It is not clear how much damage was caused.
