Hy-Vee recalls two products due to potential contamination with salmonella

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Hy-Vee is recalling some cream cheese and a cookies and cream snack mix due to potential contamination with salmonella.

These products are manufactured at third-party facilities around the Midwest and are sold under the Hy-Vee label.

They were sent to Hy-Vee, Hy-Vee Drugstore, Hy-Vee Fast and Fresh and Dollar Fresh Market locations across the company’s eight-state region.

The manufacturers notified Hy-Vee of the potential problem, and out of caution, Hy-Vee is voluntarily recalling these products.

There have been no confirmed reports of contamination in these products.

Hy-Vee said customers who purchased the product should throw it away or return it to their local Hy-Vee store for a full refund.

Contact Hy-Vee customers service at 800-772-4098 with any questions.
