LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The extreme heat this week damaged some streets in eastern Nebraska.
The City of Seward shared a Facebook post on Tuesday showing the road heaving on First Street at Pinewood Avenue.
The post said workers would handle it “first thing” Wednesday morning.
In Nearby Milford, the heat caused a crack across Second Street near Maple Avenue. The city said it was not safe to drive on.
A user of the NOW Local News App sent a video showing all but one lane blocked off on Wednesday.
The Milford Maintenance Department expects the repair to take eight to 10 days.
