Flights delayed after storm damage closes Omaha’s Eppley Airfield
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Eppley Airfield in Omaha was shut down late Tuesday night due to storm damage.
About 10:30 p.m., the airport said on social media that high winds had moved through the area.
Channel 8 Meteorologist Jessica Blum said those winds peaked at 90 mph as they blew past.

Eppley said that the damage was being assessed and that debris was being removed from the airfield.
By 2 a.m. Wednesday, the runway was clear, and the airfield reopened.
But several flights were still delayed or canceled, according to Eppley.
