Veronica Barreto

Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Veronica moved to Nebraska three years ago to find her path as a multimedia journalist after graduating from the University of Puerto Rico.

As a bilingual reporter, she likes to tell the stories of minorities and underrepresented communities in the state.

During her free time, Veronica likes to spend time with her son and watch him grow.

Veronica also likes to study foreign languages as she continues to develop her Portuguese and French skills.

Even though she misses the island life, she is happy to call Nebraska her home.
