Weekend Sports Anchor/Multimedia Journalist

Philip joined the Channel 8 team in August 2022.

He grew up in Indio, California, where he spent his free time cheering on the San Francisco 49ers, Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles Lakers.

He received his Bachelor of Sports Management from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix.

At GCU, he worked as a student broadcaster for GCUTV, gaining experience and building his craft.

After graduation, Philip spent two years serving as sports director and lead play by play voice for Yavapai Broadcasting in Cottonwood, Arizona, covering local high school sports.

Philip is excited to be surrounded by a community that shares his same passion for everything sports!
