LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Fire & Rescue responded Tuesday morning to several vehicles submerged in water under a bridge.

LFR said crews were initially called for a water rescue under the bridge just south of 48th Street and Cornhusker Highway.

At least three vehicles were stuck in the flooding.  The occupants of the vehicles got out on their own and the rescue call was canceled.

The National Weather Service had issued a flood warning for Lancaster County, including Lincoln and surrounding areas.

By midnight, 1 to 2 inches of rain had already fallen, and up to 2 inches more were expected to fall.
