A red flag warning in the magic valley ended on Saturday but dry conditions will continue with excessive heat starting at the beginning of this week.
The National Weather Service on July 8 starting at noon is issuing an excessive heat watch for a majority of the western Gem State with the Treasure and Magic Valley's included. Heat will reach triple digits with a fair chance at record breaking temperatures on Wednesday.
The excessive heat watch ends on July 13 and though red flag warnings have not been issued, wildfires have popped up across the Treasure Valley so do be safe and help to prevent them from start as dry weather and intense heat will be prominent the next week.
Also stay hydrated and don't spend extended time outside during the hotter parts of the day.
