Comfortably warm weather continues on Wednesday with bright sunshine and a refreshing breeze. Expect high temps once again in the mid-80s.
An excessive heat watch has been posted for southwest Idaho from Saturday through at least Wednesday of next week. A strong ridge of high pressure will build into the northwest sending temperatures soaring to between 100°-105° on Monday to 103°-108° by Wednesday. Be prepared to drink plenty of fluid, stay in air conditioned room and out of the sun.

Thursday the 4th of July will be sunny and seasonably hot with a high of 91° in the valley. The McCall area should have a high near 78° with a cool evening for fireworks.
Friday will be marked by a noticeable increase in the heat with mid to upper-90s across the valley with low-80s in the central mountains. Sunshine will continue to dominate.
This weekend will be hotter with the latest computer guidance indicating it will be between 100°-104° in the valleys. Conditions should be generally calm with no big wind issues. The McCall area will be in the upper 80s!
Our heatwave will build into next week as high temperatures climb as high as 108° starting Wednesday and possible continuing through Friday. This is dangerous heat keeping in mind the all-time record high for Boise is 111°.
