Sean MacKinnon

Sean MacKinnon joined the the KETV NewsWatch 7 team as a reporter in October 2022.

He is a recent graduate of the University of Missouri- MIZ! There, Sean worked for several years at KOMU, a local affiliate in Columbia. His favorite reporting memories come from snow coverage and stories out of the Missouri State Capitol. Sean graduated from Mizzou with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science.

Sean is born and raised in Southern California, coming from the suburbs north of Los Angeles. Although he’s far from home, after spending four years in the Midwest, he’s made a home here, too.

He couldn’t be more excited to learn about Omaha: its people, its history and its culture.
