Nebraska Forest Service hosts 2019 Forest Festival Family Fun Night

Looking for something to do outside?The Nebraska Forest Service is hosting the 2019 Forest Festival Family Fun Night on Friday, Sept. 13 from 5 to 10 p.m.Guests are welcome to attend at Horning State Farm Demonstration Forest near Plattsmouth. The free event is for all ages and includes campfires, s'mores, face painting, kids games, lumberjack games, a moonlight hike, trolley rides, insect collecting and display, archery, a makerspace, a barn photo booth, free giveaways and more.Horning State Farm Demonstration Forest is three miles south of Plattsmouth on Horning Road. The 240 acres include habitats such as native woodland, planted oak savanna, grassy picnic areas, bluegrass prairie and arboretum and wildlife areas.For more information on Forest Festival Family Fun Night, visit nfs.unl.edu.
