DOUGLAS COUNTY, Kan. (KCTV) - A motorcyclist in Douglas County was cited for reckless driving following a rollover crash Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities said it happened in the 1300 block of N. 300 Road -- also known as U.S. Highway 56. Deputies said the driver of a motorcycle crashed into a utility pole Tuesday afternoon just west of Baldwin City.
The driver, a 20-year-old man from Ottawa, was driving at a high rate of speed and passing vehicles on the shoulder.
He lost control and rolled multiple times before striking a pole. The driver was injured and cited for reckless driving, but his injuries were not considered to be life-threatening.
