Missouri Senator goes viral advocating for Christian nationalism

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Missouri Senator Josh Hawley is catching national attention for comments he made Monday night.
In a clip from the National Conservative Convention, Hawley said he is an advocate for Christian nationalism.
“Some will say now that I am calling America a Christian nation,” Hawley said. “So I am. And some will say that I am advocating Christian nationalism. And so I do.”
Hawley claimed Christian nationalism is not a threat to American democracy because he said it helped found America’s democracy.
