Jamesport Country Store destroyed in overnight fire, no injuries reported

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A popular store in Jamesport was destroyed Monday morning after it went up in flames.

The Jamesport Country Store at 31115 Hwy NN caught fire about 1 a.m.

Jamesport Fire and Rescue chief Davey Davis said the fire started on the west end of the building near some garage doors where there was a reefer truck and pallets.

The cause of the fire was not yet known as of 11 a.m.

Davis said the fire response lasted about five hours and no injuries were reported.

The Gallatin, Coffey, and the Grundy County fire departments assisted the Jamesport fire department in the response.

Davis said more than 60,000 gallons of water was used to extinguish the flames.
