Lee Anne Denyer

Lee Anne Denyer joined KCRA 3 News as a general assignment reporter in May 2022.

Prior to her move to Sacramento, Lee Anne worked as a reporter at WXII 12 News in Winston-Salem/Greensboro, North Carolina. There, she covered the onset and response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the fatal shooting at Mount Tabor High School and a wide range of other stories throughout the state and region.

Lee Anne first joined Hearst Television as an anchor/reporter at WPTZ in the Burlington, Vermont–Plattsburgh, New York market. She received a 2020 Regional Edward R. Murrow award for the news documentary “Heroes Take Flight.” The program helped raise more than $100,000 for North County Honor Flight, an organization that takes veterans to Washington, D.C. to see the monuments built in their honor.

Lee Anne began her news career working as a production and news assistant at KGO-TV in San Francisco after graduating from the University of Oregon.

She also holds a Master’s degree in journalism from the Missouri School of Journalism.

Lee Anne grew up in Fremont, California, and is happy to be living and working in Sacramento with her dog, Lily.
