Eileen Javora

Meteorologist

Eileen joined the KCRA 3 weather team on March 14, 2005. Prior to coming to Sacramento, Eileen most recently worked for WBBH-TV, the NBC affiliate in Fort Myers, Florida and is no stranger to covering severe weather.

While at WBBH-TV, Eileen played an integral part in the station's hurricane tracking coverage in 2004, covering four major hurricanes sweeping across the state. In addition, Eileen led a weather team to Louisiana where they chased Hurricane Lili and provided live coverage on its path of destruction and aftermath.

Eileen started her broadcasting career In New York City as an associate weather producer for ABC's Good Morning America. In addition to chasing Hurricanes Bret, Dennis, and Floyd for ABC, Eileen also made her TV debut on Good Morning America. On her last day of work, she delivered the U.S. forecast live from Times Square.

Eileen is a member of the American Meteorological Society and holds the prestigious Certified Broadcast Meteorologist seal ... less than 500 Meteorologists in the nation hold that seal. Eileen also holds the National Weather Association seal of approval.

In her spare time, Eileen enjoys running in local road races (mainly 5ks) and you will find her playing golf on a nice weekend. Eileen considers herself a "foodie" visiting local restaurants and farmers markets often. Eileen is an honorary board member for the Stanford Home for Children and involved in the Women's Empowerment program of Sacramento, helping homeless women get back into the work force. Eileen has also served as a mentor through the Big Brother/Big Sister program. Originally from New Jersey, Eileen graduated from Monmouth University with a B.A. in Communications. She also studied meteorology at Mississippi State University.
