The Milwaukee Bucks have made their two selections in the 2024 NBA draft with the picks of two 19-year-olds in AJ Johnson and Tyler Smith.

But the roster additions didn't end with the draft.

The Bucks signed undrafted free agents to fill out summer league roster.

Some things to note as the Bucks began summer league play in Las Vegas on July 13:

Teams are allowed to sign 3 two-way players (contracts that allow players to split their time between the NBA club and their G League team). The Bucks currently have forward Jaylin Galloway and guards Stanley Umude and Ryan Rollins on two-way contracts for next season.

Guard TyTy Washington Jr., who was on a two-way deal last season, was not eligible for a qualifying offer per a league source. He is back with the team on a training camp deal.

Bucks players MarJon Beauchamp, Andre Jackson Jr. and Chris Livingston joined rookies AJ Johnson and Tyler Smith on the team. Two-way players Jaylin Galloway and Ryan Rollins are playing, too. Wisconsin Herd players James Akinjo and Kihei Clark are also on the roster. Hugo Besson, acquired in a 2022 draft night trade with Indiana, is also on the roster. Besson played for the Bucks' summer league team last year but there is no intention of him leaving Europe to play in the U.S. this coming season.

Let's take a look at the new signees:

Philip Alston

The 6-8, 235-pound forward out of Loyola University averaged 13.6 points per game in his two seasons with the Ramblers. He shot 40% from behind the three-point line in 2022-23 but dipped to 25% last year. The Columbus, Ohio native played two seasons at Division II California University of Pennsylvania. As a freshman in 2019-20, he suffered a cardiac arrest during a scrimmage. After a life-flight to a hospital, it was determined his heart was OK but an ulcer in his digestive tract had been bleeding, limiting supply to his heart.

Alston posted a message "Thank you God" with the emoji associated with praying on the social media platform X, formerly Twitter over a report from DraftExpress.com that he had signed with the Bucks.

Ibou Badji

The 7-foot center went undrafted in 2022 and played in 22 games with the Portland Trail Blazers and three games with their G League affiliate, the Rip City Remix, last season. He played the 2022-23 season with the Wisconsin Herd.

Vin Baker Jr.

Baker Jr. is set to make his second straight summer appearance for the Bucks after appearing in two games in Las Vegas last July, per his agency. He averaged 13.5 points per game last season for Randers Cimbria in Denmark. Undrafted out of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2023, the 6-foot, 9-inch forward averaged 2.2 points per game over 53 appearances with the Panthers from 2021-23.

Jamir Chaplin

Chaplin played a graduate season at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock last year after playing four seasons at South Florida. He shot 36% from behind the three-point line in 33 games for Little Rock while averaging nearly 15 points per game.

Devine Eke

The 27-year-old professional out of the Basketball Africa League (BAL) has joined the Bucks summer league team, per ESPN. The forward initially played high school ball at Union Catholic High School in New Jersey before going to The Robinson School, a prep school in Phoenix. He then played collegiately at the University of Maine, Rider University and Radford University. Eke has played internationally as a pro, most recently with the Rivers Hoopers of the BAL. Per ESPN, Bucks scout Dzaflo Larkai was on hand to see Eke. Milwaukee had hired scouting coordinator Ijeoma Ofomata out of the league, which team co-owner and governor Wes Edens is a significant investor in.

Jalen Lewis

Lewis made news when he signed with Overtime Elite after his sophomore year at Bishop O’Dowd High School in 2021, making him the youngest American professional basketball player ever. He was the No. 2 recruit in the nation at the time.

The 6-foot, 10-inch forward spent three seasons at Overtime Elite but played just four games last season. In his career he averaged 4.0 points and 4.0 rebounds per game for the organization.

He helped the U16 USA team win the FIBA Americas gold medal.

Andscape.com initially reported the signing.

Justin Moore

Moore's agency announced his signing with the Bucks after a five-year career at Villanova. Moore played in 134 games (119 starts) and averaged 12.4 points per game while shooting 34.6% from behind the three-point line. The 6-5, 210-pound guard returned to play after tearing his right Achilles tendon in March, 2022. Last year was interrupted with a knee sprain. His best scoring season was during the 2020-21 Final Four run in which he averaged 14.8 points per game.

Ade Murkey

Undrafted out of the University of Denver in 2020, Murkey has played for the Iowa Wolves and Stockton Kings of the G League in 2021 and 2022, though he missed last season with injury. He appeared in 13 games for Iowa in 2020-21, shooting 35.5% from behind the three-point line. In 2021-22 in Stockton Murkey shot 37% from deep in 33 games for the Kings. He appeared in one NBA game for the Sacramento Kings that year.
