The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel has named Bryan Arnold as its general manager in the Milwaukee market.

Arnold will work with Executive Editor Greg Borowski, with a charge to "strengthen local connection points with businesses and brands to drive community-based strategies and engagement," according to a Tuesday announcement from Gannett Inc., which owns the Journal Sentinel.

Arnold has been with Gannett for more than 15 years and has served with the Journal Sentinel for more than seven years in various account roles focused on local businesses, including those in the retail and health care industries. He currently serves as the LocaliQ regional sales director.

Arnold is a graduate of University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

“The strength and success of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is critical to our community, and a thriving community is critical to our success," Borowski said. “Bryan and I care deeply about both. I look forward to working with him on opportunities from events to sponsorships and more."

Arnold also is the new Green Bay Press-Gazette general manager. Both the Journal Sentinel and Press-Gazette are part of the USA TODAY NETWORK.
