Bradley Symphony Center, Harley-Davidson Museum, Pfister Hotel among venues hosting RNC events

The Bradley Symphony Center, Harley-Davidson Museum and Pfister Hotel are among the prominent Milwaukee venues that have landed events tied to next week's Republican National Convention.

That's according to a newly updated events calendar released by the RNC.

That comes at a time when several downtown business operators have told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and other news media outlets that they haven't booked any convention-related events.

One of the more high-profile events will be at Bradley Symphony Center, 212 W. Wisconsin Ave..

The center, home to the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, on July 15 will host "Heritage Policy Fest: Fighting for America's Future," an all-day event staged by The Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank.

The foundation has made headlines through its Project 2025, which centers on a plan and personnel to reconstruct the country's executive branch if Donald Trump wins the presidential election.

Trump on Friday tried to distance himself Project 2025, saying in a post on his Truth Social account he knows "nothing" about it.

That led President Joe Biden to say Trump is lying, and to criticize Project 2025's policy goals, according to USA Today.

Harley Museum, Maier Festival Park, Lakefront Brewery secure bookings

Other downtown venues hosting RNC events include Maier Festival Park, Harley-Davidson Museum, 3rd Street Market Hall's Venue 3 events room, Northwestern Mutual's office tower grand ballroom, Marcus Performing Arts Center, Discovery World, Lakefront Brewery and Pilot Project Brewing, according to the calendar.

Hotels, restaurants and taverns hosting events include the Pfister Hotel, Hilton Milwaukee City Center, Iron Horse Hotel, AJ Bombers, Mader's Restaurant and Drink Wisconsinbly.

The calendar also lists events at locations outside downtown, including Mitchell Park Domes, Crowne Plaza Milwaukee South Hotel and Grand Geneva resort, in Lake Geneva.

The RNC is expected to bring an estimated 50,000 visitors.

That will bring an estimated $200 million economic impact, according to Visit Milwaukee, a publicly funded nonprofit group which promotes Milwaukee as a travel destination.
