Iron Gate is committed to feeding the hungry and homeless of Tulsa in a safe and healthy way. Iron Gate’s leaders are actively monitoring both local and national health centers to provide the best service for our guests. Please read below for more on our strategy.

Our Strategy:

  • Iron Gate is now providing to-go meals every day from 8:30 am to 9:30 am to increase social distancing, while still feeding the hungry.

  • Iron Gate’s grocery pantry is now a drive-through pantry that requires you to pre-register online. Please check the Iron Gate Facebook page for the latest information on dates and times: www.facebook.com/irongatetulsa.

  • Iron Gate’s operations team has increased cleaning and disinfection across all high-volume touch points throughout the building.

  • Iron Gate is extending education and awareness to all team members on standard, personal preventative measures, including regular hand-washing, sanitizing, and disinfection protocols.

  • Iron Gate staff is encouraging guests to wash hands or use hand sanitizer.

Volunteers

For the health and safety of our staff and volunteers, we are temporarily suspending our volunteer program.

Recommendations from the CDC

• Avoid close contact with people who are showing signs of being sick.

• Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.

• Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.

• The CDC does not recommend that people who are well wear a face mask to protect themselves from respiratory diseases, including COVID-19. Face masks should be used by people who show symptoms of COVID-19 to help prevent the spread of the disease to others.

• Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially before eating and after blowing your nose, coughing, sneezing or—especially—going to the bathroom. If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash your hands with soap and water if they are visibly dirty.

Situation Monitoring

Iron Gate staff is meeting on a regular basis and actively monitoring city, state and federal updates for further information. We’re committed to doing our part to stop the spread, while continuing to feed the hungry and homeless of Tulsa every day.
