Andy Farrell looked to be involved in a heated disagreement with Steve Borthwick during Ireland's Six Nations clash with England on Saturday.

The incident happened at the end of the opening half at Twickenham, with Ireland going in with a 12-8 lead against Borthwick's side at the break.

The two head coaches appeared to be shouting at one another, with Farrell pointing towards the pitch as the pair walked down the tunnel together.

Mark Pougatch said on ITV about the incident: "The two coaches having a bit of a disagreement, presumably over some foul play or something. It's nothing OTT, it's nothing over the top, but I do think it underlines that there's a little bit of tension here and it's great there's some jeopardy in the air, which is what we want."

Meanwhile, Brian O'Driscoll stated that it showed the "sign of a good team" that Ireland led against England at half-time despite a frustrating first-half.

He said: "Sign of a good team. You know you're not playing your game, you haven't really had that much access into it. It's been a bit of an un-Irish performance. You look at four penalties, just taking advantage of a little bit of indiscipline.

"England have only given away six penalties so far in this game, but the important thing is where they've given them away and Jack Crowley has converted very, very well, so Ireland will be a little bit frustrated that they haven't managed to put a whole lot together, but they know that they have that in their armoury and they're on top on the scoreboard and England have fired a lot of shots at them."
