Leona Maguire led from the front as Europe have drawn level at 8-8 ahead of Sunday's singles session at the Solheim Cup.

Maguire teamed up with Charley Hull to beat Americans Nelly Korda and Ally Ewing 4 & 3 in Saturday's fourball session.

The Cavan woman hit seven birdies in 14 holes off her own ball to inspire the pair to a dominant victory.

After losing her morning foursomes match alongside Anna Nordqvist on the 18th hole to Lexi Thompson and Megan Khang, Maguire came out firing after being sent out again in the afternoon.

Maguire birdied her opening two holes before further birdies on the fourth and eight holes saw her and Hull charge into a four-hole lead at the turn.

And as Maguire continued to fire at the flags, they were able to steamroll their American opponents.

It was the spur Team Europe needed as Madelene Sagström and Emily Pedersen ran out 2 & 1 winners over Rose Zhang and Andrea Lee.

While Americans Cheyenne Knight and Angel Yin beat Swedish pair Anna Nordqvist and Caroline Hedwall 2 up, Europe's Carlota Ciganda and Linn Grant combined in the final match to beat Danielle Kang and Lilia Vu on the 17th hole.
